Job: BACKUP AND RESTORE

Role:

Netbackup Administrator Level E or Level D   Years of Experience: 7+
Yrs   Skill Details    Mandatory skills      . 4-5 years of Deep technical
administration experience with SAN storage, NAS, and SAN fabric technologies
in a large scale corporate environment.   . Good working experience on
Netbackup ver. 6.x and 7.x environment.   . Good working experience on
backup restore, DR, Hardware issues, resolution techniques etc.   . Good
working experience on Netbackup version upgrades.   . Good working
experience on Virtual and physical tape libraries with LTO2/LTO4/LTO5
drives.    . Experience with IBM series and Sun/StorageTek backup libraries
and LTO tape drive technologies.   . Experience with Symantec Netbackup
Reporter and other tools.   . System administration and scripting skills on
Windows and UNIX environments.   . Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Strong presentation and relationship management
skills.   . Familiarity with database technologies (Microsoft SQL, Oracle)
is also desired.   . Computer Science/Information Systems degree or
comparable experience.    . Manage physical and logical backup
infrastructure configurations to ensure optimum performance, utilisation and
availability. Support in installing & administration of Netbackup Master
server and clients   . Proactively monitor and support backup infrastructure
to maintain high backup success rate.   . Upgrade and maintain backup
firmware and software to appropriate version levels.   . Perform daily
backup success health-checks. Support day-to-day operations on
tbackups.   . Respond to and resolve backup related incidents and
provisioning requests.   . Escalate backup incidents to Lead as
propriate.   . Continuously enhance backup process to improve service
vels   . Raise incidents and work orders with other platform teams and
vendors as required and liaise with them to resolve backup-related
sues.   . Generate SOX compliance report. Investigate and resolve
SOX-related backup issues.   . Support in designing and implementing
Netbackup solutions for various client platforms such as oracle, informix,
solaris, windows, db2 etc.   . Support in performing Netbackup upgrades on
Netbackup Master servers and clients.   . Perform Proof of Concept (POC)
testing for new storage technology products.   . Design the backup network
to ensure that the required service level agreements (SLAs) for recovery are
met.   . Perform root cause analysis for problems encountered    . Plan,
implement & troubleshoot Disaster Recovery Manager (DRM) on Netbackup
environment.   . Ensure high service delivery and customer satisfaction for
Netbackup.    . Upgrade and maintain Netbackup servers firmware and
management software to appropriate version levels.   . Handle escalations as
appropriate. Provide support to junior team.   . Continuously enhance
storage management processes to improve storage service levels
